In Prague, a locomotive collided with a train: dozens injured (photo).


During a traffic accident, a passenger train collided with a locomotive in the area of Prague-Liben station. As a result, 25 people were reported injured. Ambulance, police, and fire brigades worked at the scene of the accident.
Services emphasize that dozens of people were injured of varying severity as a result of the collision between the passenger train and the locomotive near the Prague-Liben railway station on Wednesday morning.
An evacuation train was used to transport passengers to Vysočany due to health issues of some of them, such as head injuries and nausea.
Law enforcement, criminalists, and railway inspection are investigating the incident, suspecting intentional harm or negligence.
Last year in June, during a collision of two trains in Pardubice, Czech Republic, four people died, including two Ukrainian citizens. 34 individuals sustained minor injuries and received medical help on the spot. The injured were also transported to medical facilities in Pardubice and Hradec Králové.
Also in June, in Slovakia, in the city of Nove Zamky, a train collided with a bus, resulting in at least five deaths. This serious traffic accident occurred around 6 p.m. at a railway crossing on Dvorska Road in Nove Zamky. Five people died, and another five were injured due to the collision between the bus and the train.
