The USA has withdrawn from the group investigating Putin's crimes in Ukraine, - NYT.

The USA has decided to cease its participation in the International Centre for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine (ICPA), created to hold the leadership of Russia and its allies accountable for the invasion of Ukraine. This was reported by The New York Times.
According to the report, the American Department of Justice has already informed European officials of its decision. An official announcement is expected to be made on Monday, March 17, through an email that will be sent to employees and members of the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, which is the parent organization of the ICPA.
The USA joined the ICPA in 2023 with the support of former President Joe Biden and was the only country outside of Europe collaborating with this center.
The goal of the center was to investigate the actions of leaders responsible for aggression against Ukraine, including President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
It is also reported that the Trump administration is reducing the activity of the War Crimes Investigation Group, established in 2022 by former Attorney General Merrick Garland. This group, which consists of experienced prosecutors, was supposed to coordinate the efforts of the US Department of Justice to hold Russians accountable for crimes in Ukraine after the invasion.
We also remind that the investigation into the murder of activist Ganul is being conducted according to three versions.
