The State Border Guard Service reported an increase in the activity of Russian occupiers on the border with the Sumy region.
This was stated by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko during a telethon.
'Trying to push the Defense Forces of Ukraine out of the Kursk region, the Russians are conducting dozens of assault actions on the positions of Ukrainian soldiers,' Demchenko noted.
Demchenko explained that the occupiers are trying to penetrate deep into the territory of Ukraine.
'Currently, an attempt has been recorded to cross the border by small assault groups of the enemy consisting of 2-3 servicemen, sometimes 5. Their goal is to penetrate as deeply as possible into our territory, establish themselves, and expand the combat zone. However, they are unable to achieve this,' Demchenko reported.
