The need for deeper control
Previously, dating was based on detailed profiles and objective ratings. Modern platforms use large volumes of data and artificial intelligence to match partners. Researchers urge services to provide greater user control over search parameters, transparency in algorithms, and explanations of recommendations.
The scandalous story of a man from Cherkasy who married his neighbor just to get a 'ticket' to Europe is yet another example of the negative consequences of using services that do not meet user expectations.
