The assassination of Colonel Voronych in Kyiv - the SBU eliminated the assassins.

The Security Service of Ukraine successfully carried out a special operation to eliminate agents of the Russian special services who participated in the assassination of Colonel SBU Ivan Voronych. The crime, as established by the investigation, was committed on the orders of the FSB of the Russian Federation.

Details of the operation

The searches for the perpetrators were personally led by the head of the SBU, Lieutenant General Vasyl Maliuk. The enemy's agent-combat group infiltrated Ukraine and three days ago killed a Ukrainian officer in Kyiv. After intensive search and counterintelligence measures, their location was established in the Kyiv region.

During an attempted apprehension, the offenders opened fire in response. As a result of the shooting, both were eliminated.

'I want to remind you: the only prospect for the enemy on the territory of Ukraine is death!'

The head of the SBU emphasized that the fight against the Russian special services is a priority in the agency's work. The SBU manages to prevent 85% of the crimes that the Russian side attempts to commit in Ukraine.

It has been established that the perpetrators of the assassination were a man and a woman who received orders from an FSB curator to monitor Colonel Voronych and commit the crime. After the assassination, the criminals attempted to hide but were promptly uncovered.

It is worth recalling that in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv on July 10, an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine was shot, and there was also a shooting in the Desnianskyi district of the city, resulting in a man's death.
