Warsaw remains a city where about 150,000 Ukrainian refugees live, said the mayor Rafal Trzaskowski. In recent years, 350,000 citizens of Ukraine have arrived in the Polish capital, but most of them have already left Warsaw. The mayor urges readiness that some Ukrainians who remain may no longer leave.
«Over two million Ukrainians have arrived in Poland in recent years, and at the peak, 350,000 Ukrainians came to Warsaw, about 150,000 remain», the mayor stated.
The voivode of the Lublin Voivodeship Krzysztof Komorski also reported that the region is ready to accept a new wave of Ukrainian refugees. If necessary, Lublin authorities are ready to resume the operation of refugee reception points within 1-2 days. In addition, they noted that they will quickly intervene if the number of Ukrainians arriving in Poland increases again.
