Heating season started in Ukraine: how many families will receive state support.

The heating season of 2024/2025 has started in Ukraine with sufficient gas reserves and without changing tariffs.

The gas reserves in Ukrainian storage facilities amount to 12.9 billion cubic meters. During this season, 6.7 billion cubic meters of gas were used from the underground storage of "Ukrtransgaz". The daily production volume in October was 53.5 million cubic meters, which is more than last year (52.4 million cubic meters).

Currently, more than 58% of the boiler rooms are already operational, and nearly 30% of residential buildings and 60% of social institutions are connected to the heat supply.

Regarding subsidies, 2.8 million families use housing subsidies and benefits. For ten months of 2024, 29.6 billion UAH in subsidies and benefits have been accrued and paid, of which 1.4 billion UAH - during October.

The heating season will start when the average daily temperature is +8°C or lower for three consecutive days. The price of gas for heat utility companies, electricity producers, and the population remains unchanged until the end of April 2025.

Additionally, 500 thousand families that heat their homes with wood, coal, or other solid fuel will receive 21 thousand UAH payments.
