In Odesa, a baby's body was found in a freezer in one of the apartments.


A one-year-old child's body was found in a freezer in an apartment in the Peresyp district of Odesa. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the boy lived with his 18-year-old mother, her 44-year-old partner who has several convictions, and their one-year-old sister.
Investigators drew attention to this event and temporarily placed the two-year-old girl from this family in a hospital.
Criminalists with a mobile DNA laboratory and an investigative operational group from the police department No. 2 of the Odesa district police department No. 1 were working at the scene.
Murder of a Minor
Information about the murder of a minor child has been added to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 115, paragraph 2, clause 2 (intentional murder of a minor child) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The boy's body has been sent for a forensic medical examination to establish the final cause of death. Investigative actions are ongoing, and all circumstances are being examined.
It should be noted that a woman who killed her 69-year-old mother has been informed of suspicion of committing intentional grievous bodily harm that caused the victim's death.
Tragedy in Kyiv Region
Earlier in the Kyiv region, a 78-year-old man killed his 85-year-old wife during a conflict. According to the investigation, during the quarrel in one of the villages of the Bilozerka district, the man struck his 85-year-old wife on the head several times with a wooden stick. The woman died from the injuries sustained at the scene. The man is now being held in custody without bail for 60 days.
