Ukrainian wheat prices are falling ahead of the harvest season.
Ukrainian farmers may feel relieved as wheat prices in the country have begun to decline ahead of the harvest campaign. According to APK-Inform, there was a noticeable drop in wheat prices on the Ukrainian market last week.
'The approach of the harvest season, insufficient demand from traders who were anticipating the new crop, and the downward price trend on the export market have exerted pressure on prices. The supply of grain remained modest, while demand from processors was quite high, which provided support for prices,' the report states.
According to the latest data, prices for 2nd class wheat range from 10000 to 11300 hryvnias per ton, while for feed wheat they range from 9200 to 10200 hryvnias per ton.
The decline in wheat prices in Ukraine before the harvest campaign may be advantageous for both producers and consumers, who can expect increased demand and more affordable prices for this important product.
