Ukrainian wins prestigious one-day cycling race in Italy for the first time in 25 years.


Ukrainian Kyrylo Tsarenko won the Trofeo Alcide De Gasperi-2025 race, becoming the first Ukrainian to do so in the last 25 years. The race is part of the European UCI tour. Tsarenko outpaced German Lennart Jasch at the finish line to take first place.
At the finish, Tsarenko secured victory over German Lennart Jasch from Red Bull Bora, making him the first Ukrainian to win this competition since 1999.
In addition to this victory, Kyrylo Tsarenko also won the stage race in Hainyan and topped the overall standings. This is a significant achievement for the Ukrainian athlete, adding another important victory to his list of accomplishments.

In gymnastics, Ukrainian Nazar Chepurnyi won bronze at the 2025 European Championships in vault, demonstrating a high level of training and skill, taking third place among eight gymnasts.
