Ukraine Returned the Bodies of Fallen Defenders, Government Introduced Payments for Teachers. Highlights for November 8.


The government approved the draft state budget for 2025 for the second reading. Expenditures on defense and security will amount to 2 trillion 225 billion UAH. It is also planned to increase spending on education (24 billion UAH), healthcare (6.3 billion UAH), and veteran support (5 billion UAH). 12.6 billion UAH is allocated for the repair of roads important for defense.
Ukraine returned the bodies of 563 fallen defenders. In particular, 320 bodies of defenders from the Donetsk direction, 89 fallen soldiers from the Bakhmut direction, and 154 bodies from morgues on the territory of the Russian Federation were repatriated. The bodies will be handed over to state institutions for identification.
In Kirovohrad region, a district MSEC head was caught taking a bribe. She was charged with receiving 2 thousand dollars with the order to maintain a serviceman in the status of a disabled person.
Starting next year, Ukrainian teachers will receive an additional monthly payment to their salary. Starting from September 2025, the amount of payments will double - up to 2 thousand UAH.
The President of Ukraine appointed new heads of the Zakarpattia and Volyn regional state administrations.
