A suspect in the murder of his own father was detained in Ladyzhyn
In Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region, police detained a man suspected of murdering his own father. This information was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia region.
«On January 3, the victim's brother came to check if he was okay, as he was not answering calls. However, the apartment door was locked, so the man entered through the balcony and found his relative dead. He immediately called the police. The body of the 55-year-old man had bodily injuries in the head area,» – the statement said.
According to police data, an argument arose between the deceased and his 29-year-old son the day before. According to law enforcement, the suspect inflicted fatal bodily injuries on his father and then fled the scene, wandering the streets of Ladyzhyn.
Police detained the 29-year-old suspect and seized the murder weapon from him.
Investigators of Police Station No. 3 of the Haisyn District Police Department, under the guidance of the Haisyn District Prosecutor's Office, informed the detained suspect of suspicion of intentional murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This article provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment. The investigation is ongoing.
Earlier, in Vinnytsia region, police detained a resident of Khmilnytskyi district who beat an acquaintance and tried to bury him in the field, seeking to hide the crime.
