In Vinnytsia, they plan to build 11 more solar power plants.

The Vinnytsia City Council approved changes to the Program for the construction of solar power plants for the self-consumption of electricity by municipal property objects. The main goal is to expand sources of project financing and improve technical solutions.
Similar solar power plants are also planned to be installed in municipal educational, medical, and sports institutions in 2023-2027. This will ensure the community's energy security and improve the environmental situation.
«We also plan to install solar stations in our municipal institutions and establishments. This year, we have already installed such a solar power plant on the roof of the 3rd hospital, with a total capacity of 71.4 kW. This decision provides for the installation of solar panels at 11 municipal institutions and establishments. Next, our goal is to install "the sun" in all schools, kindergartens, and other municipal property objects», – noted Serhiy Morgunov.
The program also provides savings on energy costs and minimizes the load on the overall energy system. The main focus is on sustainable development and the implementation of green technologies.
«After the commissioning of solar power plants, a significant reduction in electricity costs is expected. This will optimize the budget and use the saved funds for social programs and infrastructure projects», – explained Olha Remeshevska, director of the Department of Recovery and Development of the Vinnytsia City Council.
The list of objects for the construction of solar power plants will be expanded based on a detailed analysis of energy needs and economic feasibility. In addition to budgetary funds, it is also planned to attract investments from international financial institutions and private investors.
