In Sweden, a 64-year-old man has been arrested for stalking a titled skier.

A 64-year-old man has been arrested in Sweden for threatening the safety of Frida Karlsson, a professional skier, for 1.5 years. Despite a restraining order, the man disregarded warnings about potential consequences.
Since the beginning of October 2023, he illegally stalked Karlsson. A court hearing for the case is scheduled for March 26 at the Öngermanland district court. The defendant believes he had a romantic relationship with Frida, who is his 25-year-old daughter, and denies any wrongdoing.
Over the course of one and a half years, the man sent more than 200 text messages and called the athlete about 207 times. Additionally, 7,300 photographs of Karlsson were found on his phone. He also followed her to competitions and training camps.
Frida Karlsson is a bronze medalist in the 2022 Olympics and a two-Time world champion in 2025.
