Four earthquakes occurred on the southern coast of occupied Crimea. One of them took place at sea, and three - in the Uchansuh area, 6 kilometers from Yalta. Seismologists recorded the tremors on April 26. This was reported by 'Glavkom'. The director of the Institute of Seismology and Geodynamics of the occupied V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, Yuriy Wolfman, spoke about the earthquakes. According to him, there were four tremors with a magnitude of 1.5 to 2 or a force of 2-3 points. They were recorded at 7:00, 10:00, 10:27, and 10:37 on Saturday, April 27, according to Kyiv Time.
'But they are quite weak, as they are located on land and have a small depth of occurrence,' noted Wolfman.Wolfman also noted that residents of Yalta living on the upper floors of high-rise buildings might feel weak vibrations from these earthquakes. However, these tremors cannot cause serious damage. Wolfman's deputy, Marina Bondar, added that the magnitude of the strongest earthquake on April 26 was 2.3. It should be noted that Turkey is preparing for a new strong earthquake: 25 million people are at risk. The large-scale earthquake predicted by Turkish seismologists will affect the entire Marmara Sea region. This was stated by a member of the Council of Scientists of the Istanbul municipality on earthquake issues, Haluk Eyidoğan.
