On September 20, two adults and four children had dinner at their home in the village of Krasnaya Sopka. In the morning, they all experienced a sharp deterioration in health. After contacting the doctors, the victims were hospitalized. However, a 6-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy died some Time after being hospitalized.
In connection with this incident, the investigative department of the Nazarovsky district of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia initiated a criminal investigation under the article that provides for the production, storage, or sale of dangerous goods, which led to negligence and the death of two people, in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
