Transfermarkt names the most expensive footballer in the world.


The popular portal Transfermarkt has released new information about the prices of footballers playing in Spain. The youngest participant in the ranking, Lamine Yamal from 'Barcelona' and the Spanish national team, has increased in value by 20 million euros and has become the most expensive player in the world with a valuation of 200 million euros.
The second and third places in the ranking were taken by 'Real' players Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, both valued at 180 million euros, along with Erling Haaland from 'Manchester City'. The previous leader of the list, 'Real' and Brazilian national team representative Vinicius Junior, lost 30 million euros in value and now ranks fifth with a valuation of 170 million euros.
This season, Yamal scored 18 goals and provided 21 assists in 55 matches for 'Barcelona'.
In the 2024/25 Nations League final, 'Portugal' triumphed over 'Spain' with a score of 2:2 (5:3 on penalties). The goals were scored by Mendes (26) and Ronaldo (61) for the Portuguese and Subimendi (21) and Oyarzabal (45) for the Spaniards. This marks Portugal's second Nations League championship title in their history.
