Supermarkets Update Prices on Canned Goods: What’s Happening with Corn and Peas Now.


Analysis of Canned Vegetable Prices
Many Ukrainians believe that canned vegetables, such as corn and green peas, are an important component of the grocery basket. These vegetables are also convenient for preparing quick dishes or salads, especially in the off-season. To assist consumers in understanding the pricing policy of stores, 'Khvylia' conducted an analysis of the prices for canned sweet corn and green peas.
According to the analytical portal 'Minfin', 'sweet corn' in a 420-gram can costs on average 38.10 UAH, which is slightly higher than in April 2025 - 36.51 UAH.
Among various supermarket chains, the most advantageous offer for sweet corn can be found at Metro for 34.90 UAH. At the same Time, at Novus it costs 39.89 UAH, and at Auchan - 39.50 UAH.
Among the producers of 'Veres Corn' in 340-gram cans, prices vary. For instance, at Auchan this corn costs 53.90 UAH, at Novus - 56.99 UAH, while at Metro, the price is the highest at 57.77 UAH.
As for green peas, 'Green Peas Novus' has seen a price reduction to 42.99 UAH for a 410-gram can. However, 'Veres Green Peas' has become more expensive - at Auchan the price now stands at 50.90 UAH, at Metro - 53.95 UAH, and at Novus - 54.99 UAH for a 400-gram can.
Thus, after conducting the analysis, it became clear where it is most advantageous to buy canned vegetables in order to save the family budget.
