Special tribunal will help punish Russian war criminals - Tatarov.

Establishment of a special tribunal to hold accountable for war crimes
The Office of the President of Ukraine is actively working on the initiative to create a special tribunal to hold those responsible accountable for the war crimes committed during the war on the territory of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. This decision was announced by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleg Tatarov during a meeting with the President of Eurojust, Michael B. Schmid.
«We are talking about investigating war crimes, which is extremely important for Ukraine in holding Russia accountable for the crimes committed as a result of the Russian aggression against our country, and ensuring full justice», - Tatarov emphasized.
According to him, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are actively cooperating with Eurojust to gather evidence and identify those who committed crimes within the conflict in eastern Ukraine. Eurojust also plays an important role in coordinating the actions of the Joint Investigation Team from Ukraine.
Participants in the meeting also discussed measures to prevent the use of dual-use goods by Russia in the production of missiles and drones. Additionally, issues concerning improving mechanisms for holding individuals accountable for various crimes on the territory of Ukraine were addressed.
Eurojust emphasized its readiness for further cooperation with Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in countering international criminals, including cybercriminals. The significance of the international conference 'United for Justice. United for Survivors', attended by officials, was also highlighted.
Ukraine's partners intend to express political support on Friday, May 9, for the commencement of the creation of an international tribunal aimed at holding Russia accountable for the crime of aggression.
