The police reported what will be done with violators of the curfew on New Year's Eve.


On New Year's Eve, violators of the curfew may be detained and taken to the police station. This was stated by the head of the National Police's Department of Preventive Activity, Maksym Akhrameev, during a telethon.
The National Police, all units will respond to individuals who are on the streets during the curfew. We will be understanding of people, various reasons. That is, if it was an emergency need or it was necessary to go to hospitals or some other reasons - we will be understanding.
At the same Time, Akhrameev reminded that there is no responsibility for violating the curfew.
By the way, since December 24, the maximum number of police personnel has been involved in places of mass gatherings, as well as on the country's highways.
Strengthening responsibility for violating the curfew
It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers wants to strengthen the responsibility for violating the curfew.
Fines will not be applied to people who are going to shelters, providing medical (first aid) assistance, escorting seriously ill wounded, conducting evacuation or salvaging property, and in other cases of threat to citizens' lives.
However, this is not yet a final decision, as this governmental draft law needs to be submitted for the consideration of the Council.
