Baby Package and Subsidies: PFC Made an Important Statement.

PFC Explained the Impact of the 'Baby Package' on Housing Subsidies
The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained that the assistance in the form of the 'Baby Package' does not affect the appointment of housing subsidies for families in Ukraine. One-Time state assistance is not taken into account in the calculation of family income, so receiving this assistance will not affect the provision of housing subsidies or their amount.
New Rule for Parents of Newborns
In 2025, parents of newborns will have the choice between natural assistance in the form of items for the child or a cash compensation of 7,689 hryvnias. This amount is equal to three living wage minimums for children under 6 years of age. This rule is enshrined in the Procedure for calculating family income for all types of state social assistance.
The Pension Fund emphasizes that the one-time nature of the payment excludes its impact on future social benefits for the family.
Analysis
It is important that the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided clarification regarding the impact of the 'Baby Package' on housing subsidies to avoid misunderstandings and help families with newborn children receive the necessary support. The new rule for parents is also significant, as they will now have the opportunity to choose the form of assistance that suits them better.
