The expert commission of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine has determined the best athletes of April.

Iryna Bondar has been named 'Best Athlete of April'. She is the European champion in freestyle wrestling in the 62 kg weight category.

Mykhailo Khyristosov received the title of best coach of April. He is the coach of Iryna Bondar.

Alina Dmytruk became the best young athlete of April. She won a silver medal at the world fencing championship for cadets and juniors and became the champion in the team competition.

Andriy Orlykivskyi has been recognized as the best coach of the young athlete of April - Alina Dmytruk.

It is also noted that many Russian bodybuilders failed to obtain Spanish visas to participate in the European championship. Russia planned to send two hundred athletes, but they were denied by the Spanish embassy.

The European Championship in bodybuilding and fitness will take place from April 30 to May 5.

Ukrainian fencers - Anna Maksymenko, Emily Konrad, Alina Dmytruk, and Valeria Bilous-Hrydiak, became the world champions among juniors. They defeated the Chinese team with a score of 45:34.

Thanks to these achievements, Ukraine ranks fifth in the overall medal standings.
