Naftogaz responded whether the gas quality can differ in different regions of Ukraine.

Gas quality in different regions of Ukraine
An official representative of the gas supply company NAFTOGAZ of Ukraine stated that the quality of gas in different regions of Ukraine is the same. This information was released by the company's press service. Many consumers are curious about the quality of natural gas, especially when they notice differences between regions of the country. They would like to know why this happens and what path the gas takes to their homes.
The company representative explained that before the gas reaches the homes, it goes through a single pipeline system, including main gas pipelines and distribution networks. Only after that, the gas is delivered to the houses.
In this system, the gas has certain physicochemical properties that are checked by accredited laboratories across the country according to state standards. Thus, although the calorific value of gas may slightly change due to local conditions such as air humidity or the amount of oxygen, this minimally affects the gas quality for consumers.
“Therefore, there is no need to worry. Gas in Ukraine comes from a single gas transport network and is the same for all consumers. The quality of gas in Ukraine is strictly controlled at every stage, including extraction and delivery to end consumers, and meets a single standard regardless of the region,” NAFTOGAZ reported.
In addition, Ukraine is preparing for the next heating season.
