NABU and SAP outraged by the draft law on subordination to the Prosecutor General.

Professional journalists note that NABU and SAP opposed draft law No. 12414, which envisages their complete subordination to the Prosecutor General. The anti-corruption agencies believe that this could deprive them of independence and threaten Ukraine's anti-corruption system.
In their statement published on Telegram, they emphasized that the adoption of the draft law could lead to the destruction of the anti-corruption infrastructure built in the country over the past 10 years. They called on lawmakers to refrain from voting for this draft law.
The essence of the draft law is the complete subordination of NABU and SAP to the Prosecutor General, as well as granting the latter additional powers, such as access to anti-corruption agency cases and the ability to give instructions to detectives.
