Tragedy in Kherson region: two explosive engineers died
A terrible incident occurred in Kherson region, resulting in the deaths of two explosive engineers. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police were attempting to defuse the warhead of a deadly drone.
The deceased were Senior Lieutenant Oleksii Safonov and Lieutenant Illia Derhiliov, who worked in the police of Zaporizhia region. They were carrying out demining in one of the villages of the Bilozersk territorial community.
During the neutralization of the warhead of the unexploded drone, an explosion occurred. The law enforcement officers sustained fatal injuries
It is noteworthy that in December 2024, Russia launched approximately 1,700 kamikaze drones of various types over the territory of Ukraine. This is significantly less than in November.
Additionally, it became known about the death of a soldier from the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Ataman Ivan Sirko and military journalist Ruslan Hanuščak from Ivano-Frankivsk, who was called Ostap.
