The head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine congratulated Ukrainians on Easter
Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Epiphanius addressed Ukrainians in a video message on the occasion of Easter. The video was published on his social media page. The Metropolitan congratulated Ukrainians on the holiday and emphasized that the Resurrection of Christ brings hope for the victory of truth and goodness. He especially congratulated Ukrainian defenders who help celebrate Easter in their native Orthodox Church, conducting services in the Ukrainian language. The Metropolitan urged Ukrainians to preserve the joy of Easter and let faith in the Risen Savior give strength for further service and the restoration of Ukraine.
President Zelensky also congratulated Ukrainians on Easter and noted that this is one of the greatest holidays for millions of Ukrainians. He expressed hope that many people would visit churches, despite some being destroyed or damaged. It was also noted that Easter services in 2021 can be viewed online to join the celebration from home. The curfew on the night of Easter in Kyiv region remains unchanged - from 00:00 to 05:00.
