Yemen's Houthis attacked Israel with a rocket.


Israel's Defense Forces successfully destroyed a rocket launched by armed Houthi formations from Yemen at their territory. According to Israeli military reports, the rocket was destroyed outside the country using the long-range Arrow air defense system. This information was published on the Israel Defense Forces Telegram channel.
According to the Israelis, the rocket was ground-to-ground, and it was intercepted far from the country's borders. At around 0:40 a.m., warning sirens were activated in central Israel due to the rocket interception, and local residents worried about possible debris falling.

Currently, the Israel Defense Forces have not provided any additional information about the shelling of the country's territory.
Yemen's Houthis reported that their military spokesperson would soon make a statement following the interception of the rocket launched from their territory by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
By the way, the Houthis or Ansar Allah is a Shiite-Zaydi armed group operating in Yemen. It was founded in the 1990s as opposition to Saudi Arabia's religious influence in Yemen and opposed then-President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
It is recalled that a few days ago a rocket launched by the Houthis, who control northern Yemen, for the first Time reached the central part of Israel but was shot down by air defense systems.
Earlier, it was known that Iran-backed Houthis launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles from areas controlled by them in Yemen into the Gulf of Aden.
