Ice Hockey World Championship: Ukraine crushed Romania.


The Ukrainian national ice hockey team received its second victory at the 2025 World Championship in Division IA
According to information provided by 'Glavkom', the Ukrainian hockey team achieved a convincing victory in the third round of the World Championship against Romania.
In the first period, our boys scored three goals. In the second period, Ukraine further increased its lead - 4:0. No more goals were scored in the game.
Currently, the Ukrainian team shares second to fourth place with 6 points in Division IA. The leaders with 7 points are the Italians.
The next match for the Ukrainians will be on May 1 against Poland at 16:00.
The previous match was filled with emotions, as it was decided in a shootout. Goalkeeper Bohdan Dyachenko became the hero of the match, scoring the decisive goal and saving all five shots from the Italians.
Dyachenko emphasized that playing against teams of such a level is a very joyful event for him. He also shared that when he is on the ice, he keeps his emotions in check, but when he is on the bench, he is ready to support and actively cheer for his team.
This victory is particularly special for Dyachenko, as he is one of the two active players of the Ukrainian national team who have played since the last entry into Division IA in 2017. At that Time, he played only one match, against Kazakhstan, where the Ukrainians lost.
In the previous match, Bohdan Dyachenko did not play, and instead, Oleksandr Levshyn was on the field. That match was not very successful for the team, but it was an opportunity for Dyachenko to demonstrate his confidence on the field.
