Part of medical services in Ukraine has become paid since January: list.

Starting from 2025, patients receiving treatment in state hospitals will be required to pay for paid medical services. The government has adopted a new resolution allowing institutions to provide paid services to individuals and organizations. This document establishes the procedure for providing paid services, but payments for them will not be made by the National Health Service. The official payment for services will be allocated for the development of medical institutions and improving conditions for patients and staff.
'What is paid for by the NHS must be free for the patient, and those services that are not covered by the NHS must be officially paid for,' noted Valeriy Veremchuk, head of the health commission of Lviv City Council.
Such services can be charged under contracts with organizations for employee services, as well as for additional services, such as a doctor visiting the home or the possibility of choosing a specific doctor in the hospital. The option to choose a comfortable room for an additional fee will also be available in paid mode. The list of paid services and their prices must be published on the website and stands within the healthcare institution. All payments must be made officially and recorded in the electronic health system.
